Put the beans into water and let it sit over a night. Chop the onion very thin and saute in olive oil. Add tomato paste, sugar, salt, pepper, beans and stir. Pour the water on and bring it to a boil. Cook for 50 minutes. Mean while cube the carrots and potatoes very small. Add them into the pot after 50 minutes cook 10 more minutes. Take the dish to a serving bowl and garnish with parsley leaves.
