Ingredients:
For Dough:
2 eggs
100 gr sugar
100 ml sunflower oil
30 gr butter
1 pack baking powder
500 gr flour
For Dressing:
30 gr semolina
For Syrup:
600 ml hot water
600 gr sugar
10 ml lemon juice
To prepare the syrup; mix hot water, sugar and boil for 20 minutes at medium fire. Add lemon juice and boil 5 more minutes, then take the syrup from the stove. To prepare the dough; put eggs and sugar in a big bowl. Mix them with a mixer at high speed until the sugar completely melts in the eggs. Then, add sunflower oil and keep mixing. Pour flour into sugar-egg slowly and add baking powder, butter. Knead the dough till it become homogenous. Take pieces from the dough as big as an egg and roll them between your palms. Then, press (again with your palms) to flatten them. Put an oven paper on a tray. Put semolina in a plate. Dip flattened dough pieces into semolina and align them on the tray by leaving some space between the pieces. Bake them in a pre-heated oven for 30 minutes at 180 degrees. Take tray out of the oven. Pour the warm syrup onto dough pieces and let them absorb the syrup. Serve warm.
Bon Appetite!
