Ingredients:
1 pack ready dough (phyllo dough)
200 g butter
For custard:
2 eggs
160 g powdered sugar
125 g flour
1 packet of vanilla
800 ml milk
16 g starch
For syrup:
500 ml water
500 gr sugar
Half of lemon’s juice
For syrup: Boil water and sugar in a deep saucepan. After boiling for 3-4 minutes, add lemon juice and boil for another 1-2 minutes and then allow it to cool. For custard: put all the ingredients in a deep saucepan and cook over medium heat with stirrring it constantly. When it reaches consistency turn off the stove. Melt the butter in a pan and butter the baking tray first. Then half of the dough is placed on the tray with butter spread between them. Pour the custard on the dough evenly. The remaining doughs are placed in the same way by spreading butter between them. After spreading butter on the last dough, the pastry is sliced in square shape with the help of a knife. Bake in a pre-heated 180 degree oven for about 40 minutes. Pour the cold syrup to the hot dessert after taking the pastry from the oven. After thesyrup is absorbed by the pastry, servet the dessert hot or cold.
