Ingredients:
For dough:
140 g flour
1 egg
64 g semolina
100 ml sunflower oil
250 g unsalted white cheese
1 packet of baking powder
1 packet of vanilla
For the syrup:
400 g granulated sugar
400 ml water
½ lemon’s juice
To decorate:
Coconut (grated,dried)
For the syrup; put sugar and water in a deep saucepan and boil over medium heat. After boiling, add lemon juice and keep boiling for 3-4 minutes, then take the pot from the stove and let the syrup cool. In a deep bowl, whisk the egg and sunflower oil. Crush unsalted cheese well in a separate bowl, you can also use a blender. Then add the crushed cheese, baking powder, vanilla and semolina to the bowl. Add flour to the ingredients that you have mixed well and knead the mixture. When you get a consistency that does not stick to the hand, stop adding flour and knead well. Take walnut-sized balls from the dough and place them on the baking tray, where you put baking paper. Then bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for about 30 minutes until they goes golden brown. After taking the hot Kemalpasa’s taken out of the oven into a deep tray, pour the cold syrup on it and wait 10-15 minutes for them to absorb the syrup. Serve the dessert with grated coconut on it on desire.
