Ingredients:
25 dried apricots
400 ml hot water
25 walnut kernels
For syrup:
200 g sugar
400 ml water
For the topping:
1 small bowl of cream or chocolate sauce
After the dried apricots are washed thoroughly, they are kept in hot water for 10 minutes and then the apricots are cut with a knife. Meanwhile, for the syrup; sugar and water are cooked over medium heat until the sugar melts in a deep saucepan. After the sugar has melted, apricots are added to the the syrup and boiled for 15 minutes. The stove is then turned off and the apricots are allowed to cool in the syrup. After the walnut is placed in the apricots, the apricots are placed on a deep serving plate. After the remaining syrup is spread over apricots with the help of spoon, 1 teaspoon of cream or chocolate sauce is placed over each apricot and then it can be served.
