INGREDIENTS
1 pack ready baklava dough (yufka)
2 packs of margarine or butter
200 gr walnut (grated)
For syrup:
680 gr powdered sugar
800 ml of water
1/2 piece of lemon
To prepare the syrup of baklava; powdered sugar in a pan, boil it by mixing with water. Add lemon juice to syrup. After boiling for 2-3 minutes, take it from the stove to cool. Melt margarine in a pan. Lubricate the baking tray with a brush. Take baklava dough on your kitchen countertop. Spread three dough pastries on the tray and lubricate the top dough with melted margarine. Next; continue to spread by taking three more dough. Repeat the process until you reach half the dough. When half of the dough is lubricated, sprinkle the walnut on the dough and spread thoroughly. Cut the extra doughs. Then, cut the dough into the lozenge size properly. Spread the rest of the melted margarine around the edges of the baklava and spread over the tray. Bake in a pre-heated 200 degree oven for 35 minutes until they turn brown. Take the baklava from the oven. If oil remains in the tray that is not absorbed by the doughs, strain the desert. While the baklava is warm, prepare the syrup that you have prepared and warmed on the baklava, starting from the sides. You can decorate baklava with walnut or pistachio and serve with ice cream.
